Welcome! By using World of Femininity ("WoF", "we", "us") you agree to these terms. They're written to be readable, but they're still a real agreement, so please give them a skim. If you don't agree, please don't use the site.
1. Educational information, not professional advice 💡
Everything on WoF is general educational information shared to help you learn and explore. It is not medical, psychological, legal, financial or other professional advice, and it isn't tailored to your circumstances. In particular:
- Skincare, haircare, nail and makeup content isn't a substitute for a dermatologist, GP or other qualified professional. Always patch-test new products and stop if something irritates.
- Voice content is not speech pathology. If you feel pain or strain, stop and consider seeing a qualified voice clinician.
- Nothing here is advice about hormones, medication or surgery; please talk to a qualified health professional.
- Safety content is general guidance only. If you're in danger, contact emergency services (see Support & helplines).
2. Your account and your data
You can use WoF without an account. If you create one, keep your login details secure and let us know if you think someone else has accessed it. You're responsible for activity on your account. You can delete your account at any time from Settings. How we handle your data is explained in our privacy policy.
3. Your content belongs to you 💖
Journal entries, photos, audio recordings and anything else you add ("your content") remain yours. If you sync it with an account, you give us a limited licence to store, process and display it back to you solely so we can provide the service. We don't use your content for advertising, and we don't publish it. Please only upload content you have the right to use.
4. Our content
The lessons, illustrations, design and code of WoF are owned by us or our licensors and are protected by copyright. You're welcome to use them for your own personal learning and to share links. Please don't copy, republish or sell substantial parts of the site without permission. Third-party images are used under their own licences, listed on our credits page.
5. Acceptable use
Please be lovely. When using WoF you agree not to:
- break any law, or use the site to harass, threaten, demean or harm anyone;
- upload content that is illegal, sexually exploitative, hateful, or that infringes someone else's rights;
- try to access other people's accounts or data, or interfere with the site's security or operation;
- scrape, overload or reverse-engineer the service, or use automated means to access it beyond normal browsing;
- misuse feedback channels to spam or abuse.
We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms. See also our community values.
6. Third-party links and videos
Lessons link to and embed content from other websites and creators (such as YouTube videos). We don't control third-party content, products or services, and linking to or showing them isn't an endorsement. Their own terms and privacy policies apply. Product mentions are examples, not recommendations tailored to you.
7. No warranties
We work hard to make WoF accurate, kind and available, but it's provided "as is" and "as available". To the extent permitted by law, we don't promise it will be error-free, always up to date, uninterrupted, or that your locally stored data won't be lost (please export backups from Settings). Nothing in these terms excludes rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law or other laws that can't be excluded.
8. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, we aren't liable for any indirect or consequential loss, or for loss arising from your reliance on general information on the site. Where our liability can't be excluded but can be limited, it is limited to resupplying the service.
9. Changes
We may update the site and these terms from time to time. If we make significant changes we'll update the date above and, where appropriate, let you know in the app. Continuing to use WoF after changes means you accept the updated terms.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia, and you submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of its courts. If you live elsewhere, you may also have rights under your local consumer laws.
