Standing: the string trick
Imagine a string gently lifting you from the crown of your head. Your neck lengthens, your chest lifts a little, your shoulders drop down and back (not forced back like a soldier), and your weight sits evenly over both feet. Breathe out. Thatβs it.
Sitting: three easy options
- Knees together, feet together - simple and neat, great in skirts.
- Ankles crossed and tucked slightly to one side.
- Legs crossed at the knee - classic and relaxed. If you have longer legs or bigger thighs, angle both legs to one side so it feels comfortable.

π Look out for: Focus on the posture section - the "string from the crown of your head" idea, and how she keeps her shoulders relaxed rather than pinned back.

π Look out for: Watch the "Cambridge cross" (ankles crossed) and the "Spencer slant" (knees together, legs angled to one side). Pick the one that's comfortable for your body.
