The 15-minute soft everyday face
This is a gentle, flexible routine. Skip any step you donโt want - there are no rules, only options.
- Prep (2 min). Cleanse, moisturise, SPF if daytime. Lip balm on now so lips are soft later.
- Correct (1โ2 min, optional). Tap a thin layer of peach/orange corrector on shadow or dark circles, or green on redness. Blend the edges.
- Base (3 min). A pea-sized amount of skin tint or foundation, centre of the face outwards, pressed in with a damp sponge. Blend down onto the jaw so thereโs no line.
- Conceal (1 min). Tiny dots on anything still showing. Press, donโt swipe.
- Set (1 min). A light press of translucent powder on the T-zone, under the eyes and any shadow areas.
- Cheeks (1 min). Smile, blush on the apples, blend up towards the temples. A little bronzer if you like.
- Brows (2 min). Feathery strokes to fill gaps, then brow gel brushed upwards.
- Eyes (2 min). A wash of one soft shadow across the lid, then mascara. Liner is optional.
- Lips (30 sec). Tint, gloss or a โyour lips but betterโ lipstick.
- Daylight check. Look in a window-lit mirror. Blend any edges you can see.
If something goes wrong
- Too much blush? Press a clean sponge or a little loose powder over it.
- Base looks cakey? Mist a little setting spray or water and press with a clean damp sponge.
- Mascara smudge? Let it dry, then flick it off with a cotton bud dipped in micellar water.
- Hate it? Wipe it off and try again another day. Every attempt teaches your hands something.
